Trainee Assistant Retreat Manager

Location: Maker Heights, Cawsand PL10 1LA

Deadline: Fri 26th July 2024                                                                        

Hours: Freelance, 18 hours per week for 9 weeks.

Start Date: Thursday 1st August.

               

Rate: Up to £12per hour

WilderMe CIC is a not-for-profit offering nature and wellness retreats to the autistic community, designed to enhance mental and physical wellbeing. We are based at Maker Heights, a stunning natural setting and heritage site on the Rame peninsula in Cornwall. Maker Heights is home to a community of around 25 artists, musicians, creative and wellbeing companies who have their studios in a collection of Nissen Huts and a historic grade II listed Barrack Block.

We are looking for a motivated, compassionate and highly organised  Intern to join our team! This internship offers an exciting opportunity to learn not only about the glamping,  retreat and wellness industry but also about working with SEND families and neurodivergent adults. 

​

We are looking for someone with:

​

  • Good organisation and administration skills

  • Experience in working with SEND children and or adults

  • A passion for nature and enjoys being outdoors. 

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • An up to date DBS certificate would be useful

  • An interest in eco tourism / eco therapy

​

Responsibilities:

  • Assist on our family SEND retreats and wellbeing retreats (including partaking in activities)

  • Handling admin for retreats and glamping bookings

  • Working closely with other team members covering all aspects of the running of the site. 

  • Gathering feedback from current and past guests

  • Doing changeovers/cleans with other team members 

  • Meet and greet new arrivals and make them feel welcome and comfortable.
