Social Media / Digital Marketing Internship.

Location: Maker Heights, Cawsand PL10 1LA

Deadline: Tues 12th March 2024                                                                        

Hours: Freelance, 18 hours per week for 10 weeks

(flexible hours/duration).                 

Rate: Up to £11.44 per hour, depending on experience.

WilderMe CIC is a not-for-profit offering nature and wellness retreats to the autistic community, designed to enhance mental and physical wellbeing. We are based at Maker Heights, a stunning natural setting and heritage site on the Rame peninsula in Cornwall. Maker Heights is home to a community of around 25 artists, musicians, creative and wellbeing companies who have their studios in a collection of Nissen Huts and a historic grade II listed Barrack Block.

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media / Digital Marketing Intern to join our team! This internship offers an exciting opportunity to dive into Social Media, content creation, and community engagement within the tourism, retreat and wellness industry. (This role will be focused on marketing our new weekend wellness, creative and adventure retreats to the general public. These will help support our charitable work).

We are looking for someone with:

​

  • An appetite and interest in building a career in Digital Marketing.

  • Passionate about nature, travel, adventure and wellness.

  • Social media, content creation and digital marketing experience.

  • Positive attitude.

  • Great writing, editing, and proof-reading skills.

  • Ability to be proactive and work as part of a team, as well as independently.

  • Photography and editing skills for content creation & marketing materials. 

  • Tools you might use: Instagram, Facebook ads manager, Canva, MailChimp, Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Video editing, desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute creative content strategies for Instagram and Facebook to showcase our products in an engaging and informative manner.

  • Curate, create, and schedule compelling social media content across various platforms, highlighting the benefits of our products and fostering community interaction.

  • Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries, building meaningful connections and enhancing customer relationships.

  • Collaborate with the WilderMe team to brainstorm and contribute innovative ideas for campaigns and initiatives.

  • Research and analysis of competitors.
