Our Accessibility Features
The first thing we began to refresh was our outdoor spaces and pathways. These areas were cut and maintained to be slightly wider and shorter to make it easier for wheelchair users to get around the site. Maker Heights itself has very wide tarmac lanes that are easy to navigate.

Next, we invested in a complete upgrade of our domes! Larger than the ones we had before with proper wooden doors and entrance ramps, we redesigned the interiors of our domes as well to make it more spacious, level and stable with good clearance around the furniture.

Our biggest update yet though is our all new accessible compost toilets and showers! Featuring sturdy ramps, wider door frames and handrails, this is a really important moment in our journey to become as inclusive as we can and continue to be pioneers in eco-tourism.
