Our five-day geodome glamping retreats are exclusively tailored for families with autistic children. Crafted to provide an inclusive atmosphere, our aim is to offer guests a space where they can relax, unleash their creativity, forge new friendships, and delve into the wonders of the "Forgotten Corner of Cornwall".

To enhance your WilderMe adventure even further, we're delighted to offer three fantastic group activities absolutely free of charge!:

  • Nature Art Class with Awenek Studio CIC: This activity likely involves creating art inspired by the natural surroundings. Guests may use materials found in nature to create beautiful pieces of art, connecting with the environment in a creative way.

  • Wild Foraging Trail with Family Foraging Kitchen CIC: This activity involves exploring the local area to identify and gather wild edible plants. Learn about the various plants, their culinary uses, and perhaps even sample some foraged treats. It's a great way to connect with nature and learn about sustainable food sources.

  • Campfire Sing-a-long with Girl Friday: This activity involves gathering around a campfire and enjoying a sing-along session led by Girl Friday. Singing songs together around a campfire creates a sense of camaraderie and adds to the overall outdoor experience. It's a fun and memorable way to bond with fellow adventurers.

"Living in a world that will not move to the beat of your drum is distressing - it's something I see in my son almost everyday. But, WilderMe offers a calm space; an opportunity for young, explorative children to run wild and free, surrounded by adults that understand."

On site:

  • The Garrison - Cocktail bar & gallery.

  • Patchwork Studio - Live music and arts venue.

  • The Canteen Cafe - Open daily, occasional pizza night.

  • Oscally's - Food truck.

Local Area:

Wander down to the picturesque villages of Kingsand & Cawsand for tranquil beaches that offer safe swimming, or hire SUP's or kayaks. Meander along the South West Coastal path through ancient woodland and stunning scenery, meeting wild Dartmoor ponies along the way.

The six domes all share two showers and two compost loos in a trailer, but there are other standard toilet facilities available at the family campsite just over the hedge. A seventh dome serves as a communal space, with two double gas hobs and grills, cooking utensils, books, cards and seating. There are also firepits at each dome for cooking simple meals but it’s much more fun to let yourself be lured over to The Canteen at Maker Heights, where ex-River Cottage chef Nick Platt cooks up superb rustic food in the atmospheric setting of old Nissen huts.

The Canteen is only one part of the creative community that calls Maker Heights home, with musicians, artists and artisans running social projects, studios and workshops in an old army barrack. It’s one of the things, along with the good cause, the feeling of warmth and inclusivity, and the simple magic of being wild and free in a beautiful part of the world, that makes WilderMe the sort of place we're sure you'll absolutely love.

Due to limited spaces, we kindly ask that all guests provide documentation of their child's diagnosis please. However, if you're still on the path to diagnosis, please don't worry! We completely emphasise it takes time, so please let us know if this is your situation.

A Geodome sleeps 3 people in a double bed and one single bed, bedding and linen is included. If you require another single bed (max one per booking) please select the option 'additional single bed' of your chosen date to add to your basket. If none is available, we maybe able to arrange a camp bed free of charge, so just let us know if you'd like us to organise this.

Children under 3 are free if bringing your own cot bed :)

If you have any questions about our breaks or activities you might like to do during your stay, please do get in touch, we'd love to hear from you! :)
