Spring has arrived just in time to brighten the Cornish countryside, and we have some thrilling news to share. This week marks a major milestone for WilderMe as we begin setting up our brand new geodesic domes for another season of eco glamping. These domes are not only stunning but also designed with accessibility and sustainability in mind. I’m excited to take you through what makes these domes special and why they are the perfect choice for your next coastal holiday on the Rame Peninsula!
Bringing New Life to Eco Glamping in South East Cornwall
Our new geodesic domes are more than just unique places to stay. They represent a fresh chapter for WilderMe, our non-profit CIC dedicated to offering family friendly and autism friendly holidays in the heart of nature. Located at Maker Heights, these domes sit amidst the rolling hills of the Cornish countryside, with breathtaking sea views that create a peaceful backdrop for a relaxing break.
What makes these domes stand out is their thoughtful design. Each dome features:
Wheelchair accessibility to ensure everyone can enjoy the beauty of the Rame Peninsula without barriers.
Lockable wooden doors that provide security and a cosy, homely feel.
Eco insulation that keeps the domes warm in cooler months and cool during warmer days, reducing energy use.
Huge panoramic windows that invite the outside in, offering uninterrupted views of the sea and surrounding nature.
These features combine to create a space that feels both connected to the environment and comfortable for all our guests.

Hard at Work with Our Dedicated Volunteers
Over the next couple of weeks, a group of passionate volunteers and our team will be busy assembling and decorating the domes. This hands-on effort reflects the community spirit behind WilderMe and our commitment to sustainable tourism. Watching the domes take shape against the backdrop of South East Cornwall’s natural beauty is truly inspiring!
Once the domes are ready, we’ll be sharing a full tour so you can see every detail up close. From the eco-friendly materials to the cosy interiors, we want you to feel the care and attention that has gone into creating these spaces.
