Description
“We had an amazing 2 night stay. The location is just stunning - and in close radius of some beautiful beaches and villages. The owners of WilderMe are so friendly and accommodating - we really felt as though we had someone to go to if ever we were stuck with anything. They’re a non profit organisation and were really appreciative of our booking, supporting their work with autistic families. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!”

“The views are out of this world. The hosts were on hand if ever we needed them and it's clear that they've set up something really special with this camp. The location is perfect. Beaches are a 5 minute drive or a scenic walk thorough some gorgeous woodland to reach the local beach, which was empty even on a sunny bank holiday. There was loads for the children to do and they really enjoyed campfires, stargazing, flower threading and beachcombing.”

“Our stay was amazing. My girlfriend and I spent the bank holiday weekend there and had an amazing experience. The view was incredible and Natalie and Geoff were very accommodating and provided us with coffee, tea, water and sometimes breakfast! We love that they host Autism retreats at the site during certain weeks of the year to provide unforgettable experiences.”

WilderMe is a unique place with a special mission. All profits from weekend stays at the six geodomes on the Cornish headland go towards supporting our social enterprise that runs wellbeing and nature retreats in the week for adults with autism, as well as offering affordable breaks for autistic adults, children and their families.
We also help support the Rame Conservation Trust, which maintains the beautiful spot that surrounds you while you’re here. You have incredible sea views from a meadow of wildflowers that’s home to deer, skylarks and all sorts of wildlife; firepits to sit out by as you watch the sunset over the sea. It’s a wonderful place to detach from the digital world and take time out to recoup and reignite a connection to nature.
“Thanks so much to the WilderMe team - we had a fantastic stay! The pod had everything we needed along with lovely touches that made it feel special. The location is great - we were lucky enough to have great weather so wandered down to Kingsand for a dip in the sea and then a meal in The Devonport Inn. Maker Heights itself is great - we had a delicious lunch and breakfast at The Canteen, cocktails at the Garrison and coffees from The Guard House. And everyone there is really friendly. We're already thinking about our next trip!“

There’ll be pizza nights and maybe a gig on, and you can wander down to the local pub in the evening, although you should make sure you’re steady enough for the climb back up.
“A lovely place to stay, great views and a great atmosphere.”

The six domes all share two showers and two compost loos in a trailer, but there are other toilet facilities available at the family campsite just over the hedge.
A seventh dome serves as a communal space, with two double gas hobs and grills, cooking utensils, books, cards and seating. There are also firepits at each dome for cooking simple meals but it’s much more fun to let yourself be lured over to The Canteen at Maker Heights, where ex-River Cottage chef Nick Platt cooks up superb rustic food in the atmospheric setting of old Nissen huts.
“We absolutely loved our stay, great accommodation with a great off grid set up within a very cool wider site”

The Canteen is only one part of the creative community that calls Maker Heights home, with musicians, artists and artisans running social projects, studios and workshops in an old army barrack.
It’s one of the things, along with the good cause, the feeling of warmth and inclusivity, and the simple magic of being wild and free in a beautiful part of the world, that makes WilderMe the sort of place we're sure you'll absolutely love.
“Truly beautiful location with amazing facilities - posh camping at its finest! The views from each yurt are simply stunning over the coast, with excellent access to Cawsand/Kingsand below. The owners are absolutely lovely with excellent communication and go out of their way to ensure all your needs are met. The yurt itself is so lovely, they even have a selection of fresh plants! The bed is really comfy with soft bedding, and all crockery is provided, alongside a portable fire pit which is very handy for s’mores in the evening. The shared kitchen yurt has everything you could possibly need, making it so easy for you to experience (posh) camping without the “hassle” of transporting/investing in camping equipment. Highly recommend, cannot wait to go back.”
